Planting Native Plants for Peoria Cleanup Volunteers
March 28 @ 9:00 am - 12:30 pm
Peoria cleanup volunteers recently worked hard to clean up along the New River. As a part of the Plants for Birds Initiative, Sonoran Audubon Society is donating native plants to cleanup volunteers.
On March 28th from 9am-12pm, we will be helping plant a portion of these donated plants in the ground at the volunteers’ yards. This is to ensure that the plants get planted and that they have a higher probability of surviving the Arizona heat.
If you’re interested in helping with these plants or have any further questions, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line “March 28th Planting.” There will be physicals labor involved, such as digging holes in the ground with a shovel and applying additional soil for the plants. Jim Consolloy will be supervising.
