Sonoran Audubon Society is dedicated to raising awareness about local issues pertaining to Arizona birds and wildlife. We have been integral in contributing data for Important Bird Areas, most notably with the Yellow-billed Cuckoo. We have compiled multiple educational bookmarks about local birds and conservation issues, providing friends with solutions that they can do to help birds. We have created a brochure and checklist for the public to identify local hotspots and birds they may encounter. In the future, we hope to encourage more friends to utilize more bird-friendly practices, such as native plants in their yard planning, and to participate in additional conservation efforts.
