Family Bird Walk – Thunderbird Conservation Park

December 5 @ 9:30 am - 11:30 am

Sonoran Audubon Society: Thunderbird Conservation Park

December 5, 2025 9:30am-11:30am

Leaders: Kaylee, Grey

For all experience levels – whether you’re new to birding or an expert – we will learn together

A slice of wild in urban Glendale, this park attracts many birds. It is easy to access and has free parking. Another late morning bird walk in a natural preserve, showcasing the Sonoran Desert’s beauty. Birds we may see and hear include flickers, quails, sparrows, wrens, hummers, woodpeckers, verdins, and vultures. Grey will have the Merlin app running on a phone – so we can all brush up on our auditory birding skills. There may be other wildlife to appreciate as well such as lizards and coyotes.
