Planting Native Plants for Tres Rios Wetlands Volunteers
April 25, 2021 @ 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
Volunteers at the Tres Rios Wetlands Cleanup helped protect critical bird habitat. As a part of the Plants for Birds Initiative, Sonoran Audubon Society is donating native plants to cleanup volunteers.
On April 25th from 8am-12pm, we will be helping plant a portion of these donated plants in the ground at the volunteers’ yards. This is to ensure that the plants get planted and that they have a higher probability of surviving the Arizona heat.
If you’re interested in helping with these plants or have any further questions, please contact [email protected] with the subject line “April 25th Planting.” There will be physicals labor involved, such as digging holes in the ground with a shovel and applying additional soil for the plants. Jim Consolloy will be supervising.
