Filling out the instructions below will add you to the waitlist\, but a spot is not guaranteed.* \nDesert Rivers Audubon (DRA) has invited SAS members to a special field trip with expert birder\, Rob Bowker\, where the Salt and Verde rivers meet. This area is home to distinct riparian and desert upland territory\, making it a hotspot for birds\, especially during fall migration. \nRegistration is required. \nTo register send the following information \n\nname\nphone number\nemail address\nnumber of people in your party\n\nto DesertRiversAudubon@gmail.com. Please put “Oct 10 Salt & Verde River Trip” in the subject line. You will receive a confirmation email with more details about this trip\, permitting\, and where to meet the leader. \nLocation: Phon D Sutton Recreation Area\, the second left off of Bush Hwy (Power Rd) after entering the Tonto National Forest area. Click here for a Google Maps pin. \nParking Pass: This field trip is within Tonto National Forest and requires a parking pass for all cars.  Acceptable passes range from an $8 day pass to a lifetime America the Beautiful pass. Passes can be picked up at various locations\, including several gas and convenience stores in the area. The typical birding session at this park consists of looking for birds around the Visitor Center before setting off on one of the park trails\, such as Black Rock\, Mule Deer\, or Ford Canyon.
