SUMMARY:Hassayampa River Preserve with Kathe Coot
DESCRIPTION:Fri\, Mar 14: Hassayampa River Preserve.\nWe’ll leave the Phoenix area to arrive at the Preserve about 8am\,\nshortly after it opens. We’ll enjoy the trails at the Preserve until\nabout 10:15am\, and wrap up with snacks at the picnic area. The\nPreserve bird list is about 280 species\, and in March\, in addition\nto the regular residents\, we could see some early summer visitors\n(Lucy’s Warbler and Bell’s Vireo come to mind) plus waterfowl.\nReturn to the Phoenix area about 11:15am. Expenses include a\n$5 entry fee at the Preserve and a gas donation to your driver.\nLimited to 7 participants. Please register with Kathe Anderson at\nKathe.coot@cox.net. Registration will be open to Sonoran\nAudubon members exclusively until Feb 28. Difficulty 1-2.\nMeeting place and carpooling logistics will be determined a few\ndays before the trip.
