SUMMARY:Glendale Recharge Ponds with Kathe Anderson
DESCRIPTION:Sun\, December 8: Glendale Recharge Ponds. The recharge ponds should be full of waterfowl\, shorebirds\, and waders\, with an assortment of songbirds and raptors to fill out a varied list of birds. We’ll meet at the recharge ponds about 7:45am. We’ll prowl the wetlands for 90 min. – 2 hours. Perhaps we’ll get lucky with some unusual species for the desert\, like dunlin or whimbrels. We’ll probably invade a local coffee shop to review the list. Wrap up about 11:00ish. Limited to 9 participants. Please register with Kathe Anderson at Kathe.coot@cox.net . Registration will be open to Sonoran Audubon members exclusively until Nov 24. Difficulty—1-2. Meeting place and carpooling logistics will be determined a few days before the trip.
