DESCRIPTION:Monday\, January 16\, 2023\, 8 a.m. – Buckeye/Arlington \n  \nTrip Description: Traveling by car next to ditches and fields\, to Lower River Road Ponds in Arlington. Typical birds – Burrowing Owl\, Mourning Dove\, Blackbirds\, Grackle\, Blue Heron\, Egrets\, Kingfisher (on occasion)\, White-faced Ibis\, Cormorants\, several duck species and grebes on the ponds and usually\, several kinds of raptors. We will be on the lookout for migrants of all types. \n\nActivity Level: Mostly traveling by car; minimal walking – step outside car for observation and photos. \n\nWhat to Bring: Binoculars(!!)\,camera\, packed lunch\, plenty of water\, hat\, sunglasses\, sunscreen\, comfortable shoes (masks optional) for stops along the way at minimum. Bring some cash to reimburse carpool drivers for gas – sharing is caring. \n  \nMeeting Location: Parking lot of the Chevron Station off Exit #121 from the I-10 and Jackrabbit Trail at 8:00 AM. Turn right at end of ramp and right again into the Chevron station.  We will carpool from there. \n\nTo Register: Contact Kathy at kcdashiell@gmail.com. Trip is limited to six persons; we’ll keep a wait list for a future similar trip.  Because we will be traveling in cars\, please have your COVID boosters and do not attend if you are sick.
