SUMMARY:Sunflower with Kathe Coot
DESCRIPTION:May 18th (Saturday): Sunflower (off the 87\, about half way to Payson)\nWe’ll meet in Fountain Hills about 6am to carpool to this small rural\ncommunity on the west side of the Beeline Highway (Route 87)\, about\nhalfway between Phoenix and Payson. Sunflower has hosted both\nCommon Black Hawk and Zone-tailed Hawk nests in the past\, making good\nviews possible. Kingbirds and other flycatchers\, vireos\, swallows\, orioles\nand some warblers should be evident. This trip is exclusively on one paved\nroad\, so quite accessible to most everyone as we park and jump out of\nvehicles in several spots along the way. Wrap up back in Fountain Hills\nabout 10am. Limit 7 participants. Difficulty 1. Spaces will be held for\nSonoran Audubon members until 2 weeks before the field trip. Please\nregister with Kathe Anderson at kathe.coot@cox.net .
