5904 West Cholla Street
Glendale, AZ 85304
Our very own Sonoran Audubon Board Member Jim Consolloy will tell us to “Plant it and They (Wildlife) will Come (to our Backyards)” at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at the West Valley Unitarian Universalist Church, 5904 W. Cholla St., Glendale, AZ (west off 59th Avenue, south of Cactus). Friends and guests are welcome. Refreshments and social time start at 6:30 PM and the bookstore is often open for browsing. For us Auduboners with green thumbs and those of us “wannabes”, this program is not to be missed!
Jim Consolloy is a long-time Audubon member, leader and trained botanist. As one of the many talented Board members at Sonoran Audubon, he is a veteran, a biologist and the retired Manager of Grounds at Princeton University in New Jersey. His lifelong interest in plants and his career in horticulture morphed many years ago into another passion—birds and birding. Jim teaches locally about plants and leads SAS birding trips—especially to the West Coast around San Diego’s wetland birding sites. He is a member of Birders’ Anonymous. He serves as Treasurer of the Chapter and this year, is helping a designer prepare plans for a shady, bird-spying structure at Glendale Recharge Ponds.
See you on January 13th!
