We will visit this well-known birding opportunity in the east Valley, wastewater treatment ponds that attract a variety of birds. Walking the various trails and looking out at the water from numerous overlooks should let us see Long-billed Dowitcher, Green-winged Teal, Great Egret, and Pied-billed Grebe. “Land birds” possible include Lesser Goldfinch, Verdin, Anna’s Hummingbird, and Black Phoebe.
