It’s time to get out of the heat again and travel up to Stoneman Lake for a cool day of birding in the pines. We should see the colorful summer birds, warblers and orioles and birds of the high country.
We will meet at the McDonalds on Carefree Hwy at 5:30am and hope we can be up there between 7 and 8. Bring a lunch and water. This trip is rated a 2 because of the altitude, but it is mostly driving and some walking on level ground. We should be back by late afternoon, around 3pm.
