We drive on Castle Hot Springs Rd. to the far north end of the park first, making several stops around the north entrance sites. We’ll finish the morning in the south end, hiking the half mile long Pipeline Canyon Trail, lunch and end at the new visitors center.
We expect to see 40 plus species; ducks, cormorants, shore birds, grebes, osprey, buteos, shrikes, thrashers, sparrows, gnatcathers, warblers and hummingbirds.
Admission the County Park is $6 per carload.
Bring a lunch, snacks, water, and a scope if possible.
We will meet at McDonalds on the Carefree Highway (Rt 74), east of the I-17 exit.
No Limit to the number of participants.
