We had a sunny and cool morning, perfect for birding. We went to Wickenburg City Park first, then up the hill past the green frog to Yarnell City Park. There was a little water in the creek at the park and we were greeted by lots of bird songs. A cardinal sang for us as we parked by the picnic tables. The highlight of the day was a scarlet tanager with his black wings against his red body. After our trip we had lunch at the Ranch House in Yarnell.
