Butterfly Garden
|
Thank you, Sonoran
Audubon
Society, for the $500 to
refurbish the butterfly garden at the Desert outdoor Center at Lake
pleasant. In 2001 the Audubon
Society provided the initial funding to
construct this garden which includes fencing, plants, irrigation
supplies, and
signage with drawings and information about native butterflies.
Over 100,000 people have either viewed or
walked through this garden enjoying the interpretive displays.
Since that time the garden has
undergone needed
improvements
due to weathering and the popularity of visitors walking through the
display. This additional $500 in funding helped provide the
supplies needed to refurbish the display.
And after several months of work the garden improvements are
complete!
Thank you again, Sonoran Audubon Society, for providing this funding!
